Special Meeting
The Eaton Town Council held a special meeting. In attendance was Daniel Blankenship, Meghan Deckman and Teresa Welsh. Roger Wells and Dustin Reese are absent.
President Daniel Blankenship called the meeting to order.
Daniel Blankenship turned the meeting over to Zach Neukam with Commonwealth.
Mr. Neukam went over the concern with the water meter pits. The contract estimated that a max of one hundred twenty (120) meter pits may need to be replaced. Currently an average of 80% of the pits that they have come across has need to be replaced. They are only 30% done with the project. This line item will be out of money very soon. The Council was presented with four options. Discussion followed. Teresa Welsh made a motion to the cost of option one. That the Town purchase and cut 18" corrugated PVC pipe. If the alternative pit material is approved by USDA. Meghan Deckman seconded the motion. Vote was 3/0. Motion carried.
Mr. Neukam went over the Utility Conflict Budget. They are concerned with all the unknown water service lines being hit. There will not be enough money. He presented the Council with three options. Discussion followed. Daniel Blankenship made a motion to approve option one. To use the Construction Contingency Budget if necessary. Teresa Welsh seconded the motion. Vote was 3/0. Motion carried.
Commonwealth recommended the Town pay the Culy invoice #8486 for $2,250.00. Then try and get reimbursed by USDA since it was for the project. Tresa Welsh made a motion to pay Culy in the amount of $2,250.00. Meghan Deckman seconded the motion. Vote was 3/0. Motion carried.
There being no further business to be brought before the Council at this time Teresa Welsh made a motion to adjourn. Meghan Deckman seconded the motion. Vote was 3/0. Motion carried.
